The coronavirus pandemic has sent shockwaves through the world. But Singapore has managed to contain the spread of the virus with an effective government-led response. This was partly due to the country’s experience with the severe acute respiratory syndrome (Sars) epidemic 17 years ago. Kazakhstan has learnt much from watching Singapore fight this pandemic.
